About The Position

The Trade and Customs Analyst will contribute to a broad range of assignments, including conducting financial customs and tariff analyses, supporting international trade and customs projects, and performing global and country‑specific industry research. The role also involves carrying out microeconomic analyses to help companies comply with customs and international trade regulations, optimize their supply chains, and reduce potential tariff exposure. Day-to-day responsibilities: Experience in trade compliance, customs, and Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, including U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade agreements. Prepare and submit import/export documentation (e.g., entry summaries, commercial invoices, packing lists) to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance. Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and assess duties, taxes, and trade program eligibility (e.g., USMCA, GSP). Maintain and monitor records of import/export activity to ensure audit readiness and compliance with customs regulations. Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve import/export issues and ensure smooth cross-border transactions. Performing financial and statistical analysis for clients that include Fortune 500 companies, top ranked law firms, non-profits, and government organizations Conducting interviews with our clients’ executive leadership teams to gather focused insight into their company’s global customs and international trade operations Undertaking in-depth company, industry, and market research Writing client reports, speaking at seminars, and preparing industry articles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management (with a concentration in Economics or Finance) or other degree (with a minimum of four Junior and/or Senior level courses in Economics or Finance) from an accredited university or college
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage time and work flow & work on multiple assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on quality work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Experience in trade compliance, customs, and Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ)
