About The Position

What is the position? Experienced Analyst for Evercore's Private Capital Markets & Debt Advisory Group with a focus on credit rating advisory located in New York, NY.Evercore offers highly qualified Analysts the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms, exposure to blue-chip corporate and financial sponsor clients and investors, and the chance to be a part of a rapidly growing, highly regarded firm and entrepreneurial team. Group Description: The Private Capital Markets & Debt Advisory (PCM) team is a leader in advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on capital structure solutions across credit and equity products for complex financing execution assignments. Evercore's PCM team advises on primary debt and structured equity financings for clients to support a variety of transactions including, but not limited to, acquisitions, growth capital, dividend recapitalizations and stressed situations.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Analyst at a credit rating agency or in a rating advisory capacity at a buyside institution, minimum 3+ years experience
  • Comprehensive experience and ability to understand and evaluate credit exposure, including appreciation for relative value and investor perspective
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and ability to evaluate and act on complex situations
  • Outstanding analytical, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • B.S. or B.A.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full deal process and execution for rating advisory mandates, including financial analysis, credit and capital structure analysis, structuring, marketing materials, outreach, due diligence, and legal document negotiations
  • Develop fundamental credit views across all the relevant rating agencies, sectors, and areas of specialization
  • Develop credit advocacy materials for high impact client engagement
  • Develop fundamental understanding of credit and equity products including first-lien debt, second-lien debt, unitranche facilities, asset-based or cash-flow based facilities, mezzanine debt, hybrid capital, and structured equity
  • Develop market views across private equity, private credit and syndicated leveraged finance markets
  • Closely coordinate with industry bankers as well as other product functions at Evercore including Restructuring and ECM
