LOCATION: Corporate DIVISION: Treasury & Analytics FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: The Analyst under the direction of the Senior Manager of Planning & Analytics will support the Treasury & Analytics group with respect to pricing (deposit and lending products), retail branch sales and incentive tracking, funding, planning, profitability, asset-liability management, interest rate risk management, cash management, participations and secondary market activities. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Senior Manager – Planning & Analytics Supervises: None Contacts: Internal staff, portfolio managers, retail branch staff, executive staff, auditors, examiners, vendors, suppliers or service providers, limited member contact.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. Finance, Accounting or Economics degree preferred
2+ years of Treasury, Finance and/or Financial Planning & Analysis.
Proficient p.c. skills, including familiarity with a Windows-based environment.
Intermediate-level data modeling skills, with the ability to develop new models.
Intermediate Excel, proficient in PowerPoint. Access experience a plus.
Ability to analyze General Ledger and financial documents.
Demonstrated ability to gather information from various third-party data sources and integrate into decision making.
Ability to work independently, understand and carry out written and verbal directions.
Ability to actively listen and assimilate the needs of other employees, departments, and vendors, in person, by phone, or through written communication.
Strong working knowledge of loans and deposit products.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
PC, calculator, fax, telephone, copier, printer.

Nice To Haves

Financial Services experience preferred
Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Essbase/Hyperion, and Data Visualization (Qlik, PowerBI) a plus.

Responsibilities

Provides a valuable and enjoyable experience to both internal customers and members during interactions. Consistently suggests ways to improve the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology.
Responds to various ad-hoc queries involving large (10,000+) data sets, often merging fields from several sources.
Prepares monthly reports to support deposit and loan pricing decisions.
Performs branch sales and product/vendor referral analysis including multiple account/product review, branch goal review, incentive tracking, etc.
Analyzes product & retail (branch) trends and identifies areas of opportunity and growth, and provides recommendations to management
Develops and produces portfolio-level reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analyses to generate insights that inform and enable business strategies.
Responsible for developing and maintaining pricing models, including back-testing and monthly pricing updates.
Performs analytics support for various branch & product promotions.
Ensures various daily and monthly loan and deposit rate setting processes are consistent with ALCO directives.
Assists in the development of new concepts, methodologies, and techniques for financial and operational information analysis.
Develops, updates, and maintains departmental procedures.
Prepares special analysis at the request of management and other internal customers.
