The Analyst, North America Customs and Trade Compliance supports the North America Customs and Trade Compliance team in managing import and export processes for the U.S. and Canada. This role focuses on data analysis, compliance documentation review, and operational support to ensure adherence to customs regulations and company policies, while leveraging technology and innovative tools to drive efficiency. Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, or a related field
  • Understanding of basic U.S. import/export regulations, Foreign Trade Zone operations, and Department of Transportation requirements
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team are required
  • Must be able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Must be detail oriented with technical writing skills
  • Proactive skills are valued to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling), SharePoint (document management and collaboration), and Power BI (data visualization and reporting).
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and ability to interpret large datasets for trend analysis and decision-making
  • Ability to identify and implement technology-driven solutions for compliance efficiency and risk mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry preferred
  • Experience working with brokers, internal stakeholders or compliance related functions is preferred
  • Knowledge of US Customs laws and regulations, US Foreign Trade Zone laws and regulations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Customs & Trade as needed with analytics - analytical data gathering and support the Customs Classification database, import data logs, metrics, risk assessment, prior disclosures, and special projects
  • Compile and analyze data to support valuation adjustments, reconciliation activities, and routine compliance reporting
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records of import/export documentation, coordinate with internal stakeholders during audits or information requests.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, SharePoint workflows, and Power BI dashboards to enhance reporting, data visualization, and process tracking and automation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline existing processes and support implementation of innovative solutions for compliance efficiency
  • Perform day to day operational support tasks as needed to support customs and trade compliance initiatives
