About The Position

Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. (FWS), a subsidiary of JM&A, is looking for Mechanical Claims Analysts to join our growing customer contact team. As a Mechanical Claims Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation of honesty, fairness, and excellence by combining exceptional customer service and your automotive expertise to assist customers through our customer contact center. Responsibilities may include: You will be part of a team that reviews, investigates, and authorizes mechanical claims based on a wide range of established contract guidelines You will be communicating via telephone and email with retail and wholesale customers, repair facilities, and non-related parties to resolve and process claims You will be utilizing a variety of technology and communication tools to process claims, review policies and procedures, labor times, and retrieve documents You will be using tools such as AllData, Mitchell, and other Labor Guides to obtain labor times for specific mechanical repairs You will be working remotely or have a hybrid schedule (both in-office/work from home) if local to one of our offices in Deerfield Beach, FL or St. Louis, MO

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Technical training is a plus
  • Three or more years of hands-on automotive repair or equivalent automotive technical work preferred.
  • ASE or equivalent Manufacturer certification preferred.
  • A thorough comprehension of the Theory of Automotive/Diesel Technology, Diagnostics and Maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including strong verbal and written communication and the ability to use influence, negotiate, problem solve, and provide resolutions to handle claims.
  • Proficient use of technology and communication tools including Microsoft and web-based applications, email, instant message and meeting platforms
  • Strong problem solving, evaluation and time management skills.
  • Set up of a home office with consistent high-speed internet connection is needed for remote and hybrid work arrangement positions.
  • Must be willing to travel to one of our offices for training at the onset, and available for additional travel throughout the year (minimum of 1x per quarter)
  • Positions may vary in working hours: Must be able to be flexible and accommodate any 8-hour shift (start time might vary between 8am EST and 12pm EST).
