The Global Commercial Services Marketing team (GCSM) makes business membership essential by creating and delivering world-class marketing that drives demand, deepens engagement, and showcases the value of our differentiated products and services. As the Marketing Tech & Workflow Enablement Analyst you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming how GCS Marketing executes campaigns through Project Flywheel — a multi-year initiative redefining marketing execution via automation, innovation, and efficiency. You’ll translate business needs into scalable marketing capabilities, redesign workflows, and build future-ready systems that make campaign execution faster, compliant, and more consistent. Acting as the bridge between marketing, product, and technology, you’ll ensure our MarTech ecosystem evolves to meet real business goals. About Project Flywheel Project Flywheel is an enterprise-wide initiative reimagining how American Express plans, builds, and delivers marketing. By uniting technology, operations, and people, Flywheel creates a more agile, efficient, and data-driven marketing ecosystem. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing execution and campaign management.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms or digital campaign execution.
  • Strong proficiency in documentation and project coordination tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Marketing Operations Acumen: Understanding of marketing operations and campaign execution processes.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong prioritization and time-management skills; thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive Mindset: Self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and contributes ideas to drive progress.
  • Collaborative Communicator: Skilled at building relationships and conveying complex information clearly across marketing, product, and technology teams.
  • Adaptable Problem-Solver: Comfortable with ambiguity and quick to adjust when priorities or project direction change.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Adobe Marketing Cloud or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting marketing transformation or system-enablement initiatives.
  • Familiar with working across channels, including email marketing and other digital marketing channels.
  • Background working cross-functionally in large or matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Process Optimization: Document business requirements, map workflows, and identify pain points or process improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate Migration Efforts: Assist in maintaining the migration roadmap and timeline, supporting communication and coordination across use cases and teams.
  • Support Capability Enhancement: Contribute to capability enhancements across the marketing execution process. Help test and document new features or changes.
  • Drive Team Organization: Manage team documentation, update leadership materials, and maintain resource libraries (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Build System Knowledge: Develop working expertise in Adobe Marketing Cloud tools to support campaign process improvement and system refinement.
