About The Position

PGIM Global Services provides the operations and technology support that contributes to PGIM being a world-class investment manager. We supply transaction-level support, generate and report investment results and ensure that our investment results are accurately reflected on our books and records. This position will support the Derivatives Accounting & Reporting Group responsible for providing accounting, financial reporting, and recordkeeping support for Prudential and its subsidiaries. The financial reporting is performed on a Statutory, GAAP, GAAP Stand Alone, and Tax basis specifically supporting the Derivatives asset type. This is a hands on opportunity that leverages investment knowledge, technical and analytical skills, strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. This position is based in one of our offices in Tampa, FL Or/ Newark, NJ and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required with a major in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Information Systems preferred
  • Experience with investment security types is a plus.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks and work in a deadline oriented environment
  • Tight-knit collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills, resourcefulness and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task/juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger
  • Prior background / internship experience in investment management or financial services Industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily processing and monitoring of a wide array of derivative asset types, their cash settlements, and collateral movements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reporting to meet all regulatory filing requirements.
  • Partner with internal clients and business partners to complete various ad-hoc requests and special projects.
  • Identify, implement and perform key controls that will improve overall data quality.
  • Utilize various applications such as PAM(Accounting System), Oracle Ledger, Cognos reports, MS Excel, etc. to analyze data and prepare financial reporting.
