About The Position

The Analytics & Technology Intern provides critical support to RVK’s consulting and research teams while also contributing to the firm’s technology‑driven data, analytics, and reporting infrastructure. Interns assist with preparing investment performance reports, evaluating financial data, supporting research workflows, and enhancing RVK’s analytical and data processes. This role is ideal for students interested in both institutional investments and technology-enabled analysis, combining classic consulting analytics with hands‑on exposure to data tools, automation, and systems used by investment professionals. Positions start date is negotiable at our Boise, Portland, or New York offices. This position requires 20-40 hours per week depending on availability of candidate. The availability disclosed during the hiring process will determine if this position is eligible for benefits.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Excel and programming or data tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, VBA, Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Use RVK’s core data and market research tools—including Bloomberg Professional Service, FactSet, manager databases, and internal portfolio systems—to support daily analytics and research.
• Help refine and automate recurring analytical tasks (e.g., performance data pulls, Excel‑based calculations, chart packages, and template generation).
• Support ongoing development of reporting infrastructure and data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
• Assist with enhancements to dashboards, internal research tools, and technology‑based processes used by the Investment Manager Research and Consulting teams.
• Participate in technology‑driven research efforts tied to investment market research, performance analysis, and investment manager screening.
• Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, investment managers, custodians, and data providers.
• Collaborate within RVK’s team‑based consulting structure, which emphasizes information sharing, mentorship, and cross‑functional learning.
