About The Position

The IT Analyst provides frontline technical support to hospital staff by troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware, software, printers, phones, and basic networking components. This role supports daily hospital operations by ensuring end‑user devices and core systems function reliably and securely. The IT Analyst also assists with system installations, account management, documentation, and routine maintenance tasks within the Information Systems department. This is an entry‑level position designed for individuals with strong foundational knowledge of computer hardware, software, and customer service who are eager to grow in a healthcare IT environment. Reports to: Director of Information Systems FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt This position is primarily based at Centerpoint Health - Paris and also serves as a market support analyst for Centerpoint Health - Winchester.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent technical school training).
  • 0–3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
  • Strong understanding of: Computer hardware and software troubleshooting Windows 10/11, Windows Server basics Microsoft Office Suite Basic networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, Wi‑Fi, cabling) Printers, phones, and peripheral devices
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during system outages or disruptions to critical hospital systems.
  • Regular reading, writing, and documentation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Industry certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco, ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with: ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems Active Directory (user creation, password resets, group membership) Basic scripting (PowerShell or Python) VMware, SQL, or other enterprise tools (not required but beneficial) Familiarity with ITIL concepts and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on support for workstations, laptops, printers, phones, and other end-user devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software according to hospital standards.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests through ServiceNow in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with user account management including creating, modifying, and disabling accounts under supervision.
  • Support basic networking tasks such as cable tracing, port activation, and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and equipment checks.
  • Document procedures and solutions to support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in small projects such as equipment rollouts, software deployments, or system upgrades.
  • Assist with inventory management for hardware, peripherals, and IT supplies.
  • Follow security and compliance standards to protect patient and organizational data.
