The Analyst III is responsible for accounting and oversight of fixed assets, which for our company primarily consists of high‑tech manufacturing equipment and construction of new facilities, as well as software, office equipment, and other asset categories. As a key member of the finance team, this role partners closely with Engineering and Operations to enhance financial processes and support strategic initiatives. The position ensures accurate accounting treatment, complete financial records, and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Principal Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, responsible for all SAP fixed asset accounting activities, including month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, subledger records, depreciation calculation, asset roll‑forwards, account analysis for cash flow and related monthly reporting. Prepares financial and business-related analyses and research in such areas as expense performance, rate of return and depreciation. Prepares, analyzes and reports monthly capital expenditure forecasts and variances including providing explanations for discrepancies to management. Leads the coordination with project managers and engineering to monitor construction in Progress (CIP) accounts, ensuring proper tracking and timely capitalization of completed projects. Prepare and upload monthly capital forecasts into Hyperion and SAP to support reporting and analysis. Identify and implement opportunities to leverage digital tools and AI to enhance analytical capabilities and strengthen reporting insights. SAP fixed asset subject matter expert, resolving system errors and issues related to work orders and capital projects. Identify and drive continuous process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and automation in fixed assets and capital processes. Support SOX compliance and US GAAP reporting requirements, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors. Perform other capital-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in accounting or finance required; advanced degree preferred
  • Three or more years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with SAP preferred.
