POSITION OBJECTIVE: This experienced position configures, installs, monitors and maintains users’ desktop software and hardware, and supports mobile workforce. This role provides technical support and guidance through Tier 2 support and works with vendors to resolve Tier 3 issues. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates as technical lead on projects related to “production” related equipment. Coordinates software deployment Creates process and technical support documentation Supports end user hardware break/fix process Supports end user client software Manages hardware provisioning Tracks time in time tracking tool, attends weekly status meetings and other meetings, maintains incident tickets, emails, and other documentation. Documents solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines. When needed, provides on-site training to users. Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates) and documents desktop application packages, participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes. Consults with and makes recommendations to users on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements. Other projects or duties as assigned.
