PPM’s Global Client Group is responsible for managing and developing relationships with institutional asset owners and key intermediaries across the US and non-US markets and for supporting, maintaining, and growing those client and partner relationships. The types of asset owners encompass public and private defined benefit plans, non-profit institutions, insurance companies, sub-advisory, sovereign wealth funds and multi-employer benefit plans. Key intermediaries include Tier 1 and Tier 2 consultants, strategic international partnerships, and third-party marketing relationships that help broaden PPM’s reach. The focus of the team is to strategically, systematically and organically grow external client business for the firm by embracing an all-hands-on-deck, collegiate and collaborative approach and to strive for 100% client satisfaction and retention. The Global Client Group Analyst works closely with both the global distribution team and the global relationship management team, collaborating to support the organization's client-focused initiatives. This role is cross-functional in nature and requires a strong desire to collaborate, a high level of attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

Requirements

  • Ability to gather information from various parts of the organization and package the content into a coherent and relevant message for the intended audience.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with third-party database tools such as eVestment, FinSearches, and PitchBook.
  • Familiarity with fixed income strategies.
  • Familiarity with alternatives strategies such as real estate debt and private equity.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 0-2 years of experience at an institutional asset management firm or institutional consulting firm required.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in another language is a plus (client base includes various European and Asian countries).

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with members of the global distribution and the global relationship management teams and supports efforts to strengthen relationships with clients, partners and prospects, as well as key stakeholders internally.
  • Enables the distribution and relationship management teams to function at maximum efficiency by providing support on both day-to-day activities, as well as special projects.
  • Develops a familiarity with PPMA's investment strategies, processes, and philosophy to be able to engage with team members and understand how best to support their needs.
  • Support functions include presentation compilation, coordination of follow-up requests, ability to create competitor analysis, CRM support, shepherding RFPs/RFIs, some data entry, and other day-to-day projects.
  • Collaborates with other internal departments, such as Marketing & Communications, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Services, Credit Research, and Legal & Compliance.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
