The Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for planning, reporting, forecasting, and analyzing key expense accounts for our Corporate Club business unit. This role will maintain and develop processes in support of departmental and business-segment reporting and forecasting with a focus on multi-unit club level reporting. Additionally, by analyzing trends, key performance measures and financial results, this Analyst will identify and defines opportunities to improve performance and positively impact results. This position will spend a significant amount of their time interacting with key business partners, providing, financial analysis in support of the Corporate Clubs business segment profitability, while also gaining exposure to the broader Club Support Center FP&A team. This role will be based out of our Hampton, NH office, and will be expected to work our hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another quantitative field
  • 1+ years in corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or investment banking role
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical software such as IBM Planning Analytics or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with planning, dashboard, and data visualization software tools
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment
  • High attention to detail with an eagerness to review and analyze data
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent leadership skills including the ability to motivate, guide, and mentor
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-unit retail, franchising, or subscription-based revenue models a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partners with business stakeholders and broader FP&A team on expense forecasting and consolidation for annual plans, quarterly forecasts and various ad hoc reporting to support the ongoing business operations.
  • Tracks and analyzes variances to forecast and historical results and communicates actionable insights to key business stakeholders and the Planet Fitness executive leadership team.
  • Actively manages integrity of data and reporting within financial and operational systems across key performance metrics including club performance from a revenue, membership and expense account perspective.
  • Maintains oversight and control of plan/forecast versions within financial planning tools including communication of changes to versions throughout planning cycles.
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts of the existing financial reporting tools, systems, and processes.
  • Executes ad-hoc analytic requests, database queries, and report generation as needed.
