About The Position

The Fleet Deployment Analyst is responsible for implementing fleetwide deployment and itineraries that maximize Net Cruise Revenue, minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions and drive guest satisfaction. This role involves administering the deployment implementation and port conflict resolution processes for 1,800+ cruises and 4,500+ port calls per year. The Fleet Deployment Analyst will collaborate across the organization to implement deployment and itinerary designs that optimize profitability and guest experience and minimize fuel/carbon by leveraging competitive analysis, consumer insight and quantitative financial metrics for home ports, itineraries, destinations and ships. Essential Functions: Detailed itinerary planning from sailing schedule (sailing by sailing) to ship position (day by day, by ship, all ships) to optimize profitability, guest experience & itinerary diversification while minimizing fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Port conflict resolutions for ports of call and homeports. Reservation system implementation (set up of 1,800+ sailings every year, in CCL reservation system that also feeds carnival.com, Navigator, GoCCL.com, Funpass, API feeds for trade partners, etc). Itinerary Changes: Design and implement port content and sequence changes where needed to resolve port conflicts, improve guest experience and/or maximize revenue and fuel/carbon savings. Ensure all itineraries and itinerary changes are communicated to stakeholders throughout the organization, and collaborate with communications team to ensure timely communications to guests. Maintain and proactively ensure accuracy of CCL data in MXP (MarineXchange) and Fuel & Itinerary Planning Application (FMA). Keep MXP & FMA up-to-date to communicate current and potential sailings with other teams. Collaborate across the organization to ensure deployment plans are aligned with technical & nautical requirements, onboard & hotel operations and environmental regulations. Consider all aspects such as ship characteristics, technical limitations, ticket and onboard revenue performance, guest satisfaction, home port and port of call accessibility constraints. Charter design and cost: Work with charter team designing itineraries and fuel cost calculation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years in consumer insight, revenue management, and or financial analysis required
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and analytical tools SQL/Oracle, SAS Enterprise Guide and Tableau
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, profitability and return on investment.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical, interpersonal and strategic planning skills as well as the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to present findings and insights to management in concise written and verbal presentations.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented. Creative, independent thinker. Quick learner, curious and inquisitive.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred - advanced quantitative or management degrees, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in cruise industry or experience working with management consulting firm preferred
