About The Position

The Fleet Analyst is responsible for managing fleet maintenance performance, analytics, compliance, telematics systems, and vendor coordination to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with Amerit, branch operations, vendors, and the Fleet Manager to monitor vehicle maintenance, optimize fleet lifecycle costs, improve driver behavior, and support fleet improvement projects. The Fleet Analyst also supports warranty administration, vehicle disposal processes, legal record requests, and continuous performance improvement initiatives across the fleet.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet the company's hiring criteria. Extensive pre-employment backgrounds checks are required. Drug tests and other testing may be required.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance, preventive maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Ability to monitor repairs, approvals, audits, and maintenance performance.
  • Familiarity with telematics systems such as Geotab, Samsara, and Fleet Cam.
  • Knowledge of vehicle disposal, warranty administration, and asset tracking.
  • Proficiency with fleet systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze fleet performance, repair trends, costs, and downtime.
  • Identify inconsistencies and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with branch teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting training, coaching, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance, safety audits, emissions, and transportation regulations.
  • Experience maintaining audit-ready records and supporting legal documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fleet, logistics, or operations preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in fleet operations or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Amerit, daily performance and requests
  • Coordinate vehicle state emissions test
  • Approval repairs from 2501 to 7500USD
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager in scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance and inspections of armored trucks.
  • Make audits to be sure Amerit maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance is conducted on schedule and follows the appropriate procedures and supports.
  • Conduct audits for safety measures, DOT compliance, and security points.
  • Maintain and track the abuse and accident repairs, understanding the reason for each one and suggest necessary action to reduce their impact
  • Coordinate vehicle Scarp process with branches, Amerit and vendors
  • Make necessary transfers and tow process to assure the most efficiency scrap process
  • Analys on Amerit performance, tracking quality and performance by branch
  • Identify and address inconsistencies in maintenance practices, focusing on improving fleet performance and reliability. Based on the high impact repairs and maintenance inconsistences, propose the adjustments and changes on the repairs (either vendor or internal shops) to reduce the impact
  • Lifecycle Management: Analyze equipment life cycles, expenses, downtime, repairs, and vendor performance to inform strategic decision-making.
  • EDvrs/telematics review complicance with Amerit and branches.
  • Geotab/Samsara follow up, make orders and track installation and report to Amerit any problem
  • Daily tracker and provide technical support to the branches, to guarantee that all the systems are working properly
  • Follow up daily report of missing drivers’ information and work with the branch to guarantee that all the drivers are into the system
  • Train branch’s managers in the correct way to coach the drivers
  • Guarantee that each driver has an assign manager
  • Review and suggest training or any other actions to guarantee the improvement of the driver behaviour on the
  • Observes baseline levels of behavior, assess to determine strengths and weaknesses and creates branch per branch to improve the trend
  • Make audits to be sure Amerit maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Support the improving plan deployments.
  • Make necessary parts sourcing for Fleet project and provide ETA for each pending part
  • Coordinate and schedule with Amerit daily projects repairs or adjustments
  • Communicate and track benefits for each project
  • Stay informed about changes in transportation laws and regulations, adapting policies as necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Vehicle records assistance for legal, using Trimble or Amerit information
  • Maintain and track the abuse and accident repairs, understanding the reason for each one and suggest necessary action to reduce their impact
  • Oversee warranty claims and ensure proper documentation and follow-up for all fleet vehicles.
