About The Position

As the Fixed Asset Analyst, you will be the subject-matter expert for fixed asset accounting within a fast-growing, capital-intensive manufacturing organization. You’ll lead the management of DrinkPAK’s fixed asset lifecycle across multiple facilities — ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, compliance with US GAAP, and robust controls. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting experience, excellent internal partnership skills, and a passion for improving systems and processes in a high-growth manufacturing environment. You will report directly to the Manager of FP&A and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3+ years of fixed asset accounting, general accounting experience with significant involvement in fixed assets, or finance with fixed asset experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP fixed asset and capitalization principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or working toward CPA preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or capital-intensive operations preferred.
  • Experience with process improvements and system implementations related to fixed assets preferred.
  • Prior experience in beverage manufacturing, co-packing, food & beverage, or similar industrial production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fixed Asset Accounting & Reporting
  • Own the full fixed asset accounting lifecycle: capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairment reviews, retirements, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger on a monthly close cadence.
  • Review and validate capital project costs for appropriate accounting treatment and classification under US GAAP.
  • Partner with the Controller and FP&A on fixed asset forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Capital Project Collaboration and Tracking
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Site Leadership during large capital initiatives (e.g., new equipment installations, facility expansions in TX and PA)
  • Track Construction-in-Progress (CIP) across projects and ensure proper capitalization timing as assets are placed in service.
  • Support capital planning and evaluate project return recognition logic as part of budget and forecasting cycles.
  • Support capital budget tracking and variance analysis
  • Equipment Financing & Lease Accounting
  • Review and support accounting for equipment leases and financing arrangements under applicable lease accounting standards
  • Coordinate with Legal, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Warehouse to manage external financing partners on equipment lease structures
  • Maintain detailed tracking of lease terms, payment schedules, and asset classifications
  • Ensure accurate accounting and disclosure for finance leases, operating leases, and embedded leases
  • Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit
  • Strengthen and document fixed asset policies and internal controls (SOX readiness, where applicable).
  • Prepare detailed fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support physical asset counting and periodic tagging processes across facilities.
  • Process Improvement & Systems
  • Identify automation, system, and process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency in the fixed asset workflow.
  • Work with ERP and fixed asset modules (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) to support better reporting, tracking, and data integrity.
