About The Position

The Financial Systems Analyst III provides financial management and analytical support to a branch, office, organization, or department. This role supports planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis activities to ensure sound financial decision-making and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include: Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets Analyze and evaluate budget estimates and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives Measure organizational performance and assess the impact of programs and policies on budgets Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate financial requests, program tradeoffs, and alternative funding strategies Review past and current budgets and research economic and financial trends affecting organizational spending Develop and maintain guidelines, policies, and procedures governing budget formulation and execution Coordinate financial activities and reporting across multiple stakeholders and organizations Manage and track funding across multiple funding types and sources Monitor budgets, costs, and variances; identify risks and recommend corrective actions Prepare executive-level summaries, briefings, and reports Perform financial reporting and analysis in support of customer requirements Develop and propose courses of action (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues Interpret and apply financial management principles, processes, techniques, and regulations in alignment with organizational strategic goals May conduct training for company or government personnel on new or updated budget and financial procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant financial management or financial systems experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Active government Secret security clearance preferred but not required

Responsibilities
