Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Financial Reporting Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC). Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the person in this role will support the Financial Reporting department's objective to oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure their accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. This position also supports process improvement projects and corporate initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting.
  • Strong understanding and practice in the application of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal control experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA Candidate
  • Experience with an ERP such as SAP.
  • Higher level degree
  • A mix of public and private industry accounting
  • ERP conversion experience (preferably SAP).
  • IFRS experience
  • Sarbanes Oxley experience
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer fluctuation analyses and facilitate flux review for North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC)
  • Prepare Manufacturing entities financial packages to be delivered to management
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations primarily related to North American Manufacturing Companies.
  • Prepare Monthly and quarterly reporting packages to Japan
  • Support Mexico entities reporting
  • Maintain and enhance Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • Comply with and support external and internal audits which include public accounting quarterly reviews, annual audits and controls testing.
  • Update desk procedures and relevant policies, procedures, and SOX narratives.
  • Support key corporate, divisional and departmental projects.
  • Identify improvement opportunities within the close process.
