To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing: The Events and Sponsorship Analyst will support the planning and execution of internal and external events for CIBC Capital Markets in the US. This includes client-facing events, industry and charitable sponsorships, internal events, and community programs. You’ll work closely with senior team members and contribute toward logistics, communication, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth event delivery. Client Events and Industry Sponsorships – You will apply a conceptual and practical understanding of the organization to assist with event registration, logistical planning, hotel accommodations, travel schedules, food and beverage orders, etc. You will prepare marketing collateral, manage branded gifts, and provide on-site support at client events as needed. You will source venues, manage reservations, facilitate contracts, and provide recommendations to stakeholders on event logistics. You will work in conjunction with our US Events team, US Business Management team, and Client Strategy team (in Canada), adhering to all CIBC standards. Internal Events & Community Programs – You will assist with internal events, employee engagement initiatives, People Network programs, charitable partnerships, employee-giving campaigns, and volunteer activities. You will help with set-up, registration, and on-site support as directed. You will liaise with internal A/V and Facilities teams, building Security, and external vendors to create seamless experiences for the employees of CIBC. Communication – You will assist with event communication, including invitations, confirmations, and appointments. You will track and report on RSVPs and uphold accurate attendee records in order to provide timely updates to internal stakeholders. You will maintain and update the team’s master event calendar to track upcoming events and respective details. You will assist with distributing post-event surveys, compiling responses, and summarizing feedback for the team. Relationship Building – You will build relationships and work with key internal stakeholders to centralize event activities and ensure all events are delivered with consistency and in a timely, effective, and cost-efficient manner. Project Management – You will assist with document preparation and create event materials, such as name badges, agendas, and signage. You will support the preparation and shipment of materials and supplies for off-site events and conferences, ensuring all event collateral is packed, labeled, and shipped according to schedules and coordinating with vendors and couriers as needed. You will monitor and maintain inventory of event supplies and place orders for materials and branded items when required. Administration – You will manage and maintain external client-facing data and follow current procedures to have data updated regularly in order to provide weekly updates on events and sponsorships for established senior-level reporting and briefing. You will reconcile event-related expenses, and submit invoices on a timely basis. You will assist with tracking ROI for client entertainment and events. You will conduct research on venues, vendors, and industry trends and maintain an accurate database of results. You will assist with scheduling for US-based podcast recording when needed.
