About The Position

Analyst, Environmental, Health and Safety Overview Analyst, Environmental, Health and Safety Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is a Fortune 250 company with ~$20 billion in annual revenues in 2024. Group 1’s Corporate Headquarters are located at 730 Town and Country, Suite 500 Houston, TX 77024. Group 1 seeks to hire an Analyst, Environmental, Health and Safety. The position reports to the Director, EHS. Position Overview The EHS Analyst supports the development, tracking, and continuous improvement of Group 1 Automotive’s Environment, Health & Safety performance metrics, programs, reports and training. This role enables data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing safety and environmental data across all U.S. dealerships, collision centers, and corporate facilities. The EHS Analyst is a key member of the safety team, helping to drive accountability, transparency, and process improvement across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 2–4 years of analytical experience, safety data experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills: Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Familiarity with Safety regulatory compliance OSHA, EPA, OSHA 300 logs or audit processes a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Able to handle sensitive data objectively
  • Strong analytical and executive‑level communication skills
  • ability to travel 30–40 %

Responsibilities

  • Learning & Development Support – Maintain safety training content (e.g., onboarding, eLearning, toolbox talks); track LMS metrics and support continuous improvement in training delivery
  • Data Collection & Validation – Aggregate EHS data from dealership and regional safety teams
  • Metrics & Reporting – Maintain EHS dashboard; publish monthly scorecards and reports
  • Incident Analytics – Conduct trend analysis on safety incidents, injuries and vehicle incidents
  • Regulatory Tracking – Support compliance monitoring and flag overdue items
  • Audit & Corrective Action Monitoring – Track audits and corrective actions; escalate issues
  • System Administration – Help manage third party or in-house EHS management software; maintain data accuracy
  • Cross-functional Support – Collaborate with Ops, HR, Risk, and Legal teams
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify safety trends and improvement areas
  • Other duties, as assigned
