About The Position

Responsible for acquiring and validation of documentation to setup new client accounts requiring Customs services. Will work directly with clients, branch operations and the sales organization as necessary to ensure all required documentation is received, in good order and that accounts are established timely in all applicable systems. Responsible for the data entry in all Customs related systems.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of experience in International Logistics or Customer Service related areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail required.
  • Candidates must also have excellent PC Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, Internet, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Many functions will include the use of Excel and will require proficiency with this program.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and validate all information and documentation required to establish an account and associated credit limit.
  • Work with US Customs Brokerage offices on documentation and customer setup.
  • Interact with sales personnel as new accounts are transitioned and setup in the customs systems.
  • Update system as customer information changes (change of address, legal name change, etc.)
  • Review Power of Attorney and supporting documentation. Perform validation of documents to ensure compliance with US Customs regulatory requirements of the legal authority.
  • Substantiate the identity of accounts through the validation of legal entities using various federal and state governmental websites.
  • Prepare, submit and monitor PMS (Periodic Monthly Statement) requests to CBP
  • Maintain all PoA information as required by US regulations and company policy.
  • Perform data entry into all Customs related systems related to the account set up (including PoA and Customs bond information).
  • Perform PoA updates with CBP as required with CBP (CF5106)
