This Analyst role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support vacation planning, customer demand, and commercial decisionmaking. This role sits within a centralized team of Data Analysts and Data Scientists, sharing common data assets, tools, and standards, while maintaining a dedicated partnership with the Vacation Planning team. The ideal candidate has a strong data analytics or data science background, is comfortable working with business stakeholders, and excels at turning complex data into clear, decisionready insights. This role is crucial in driving data-informed and AI augmented decision-making across inbound, outbound, and onboard service & sales operations. The individual will also have projects related to data science structure and analytics automation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of data science, business intelligence, or vacation planning / call center experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g. statisics, data science, data analytics)
  • Experience in Cruise, Travel, Hospitality, or transportation industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in a sales environment or call center beneficial but not required
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills with a business mindset
  • Proficiency preferred in analytical tools such as: Python or R SQL BI and Data visualization (e.g. Power Bi, Tableau, etc)
  • Understanding of database structure and data management
  • Understanding of forecasting and demand management concepts
  • Strong organization, technical aptitude, management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in clear, actionable terms

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and exploratory data analysis to business problems
  • Develop analytical models, dashboards, and tools to support revenue optimization
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and selfservice analytics to support business decisionmaking
  • Analyze customer behavior, booking patterns, preferences, and trends related to vacation planning
  • Translate business questions into analytical approaches and data requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise metrics and definitions
  • Automate recurring reports and analyses to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Validate data quality and ensure analytical outputs align with business reality
  • Communicate insights clearly through visualizations and executiveready summaries
  • Improve documentation and knowledge transfer for analytics consumers
  • Act as a primary analytics partner to the Vacation Planning team.
  • Support planning, forecasting, and performance analysis related to vacation products, itineraries, destinations, and customer journeys.
  • Provide insights into demand drivers, conversion, customer engagement, product performance, and incentive payments.
  • Assist with adhoc analysis, presentations, and executive summaries for planning and commercial reviews.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve planning decisions through data.
  • Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics to uncover customer behavior patterns, booking trends, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop customer insights frameworks that translate raw data into meaningful, actionable business recommendations.
  • Deliver proactive, forward-looking insights (not just retrospective reporting), including predictive indicators for sales performance, staffing needs, and guest demand.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into dashboards (e.g., trend detection, anomaly alerts, next-best-action recommendations).
  • Continuously evolve dashboards to include predictive analytics, scenario modeling, and automated insights generation.
  • Train team leads, supervisors, and managers on how to interpret dashboard and leverage insights.
