About The Position

The Analyst / Associate will work with junior and senior underwriters in reviewing new investment opportunities and monitoring existing investments as outlined below. New Deals (>85% of time on an annual basis): Assisting the Underwriting Team in assessing new investment opportunities for the Firm Preparing investment and downside case financial models Assisting in the preparation of investment memoranda for presentation to the Investment Committee including: Preparing company, industry and financial charts and analysis Performing independent research on company and industry (internet, analyst reports, public comps) Assisting in the coordination of deal closings Portfolio Management (<15% of time on an annual basis): Assisting in preparing portfolio reviews for existing investments including: Preparing historical and projected covenant models Written credit analysis of historical and projected financial performance Reviewing internal monitoring templates to ensure accuracy of investment detail Assisting with managing accounts by monitoring industry events and through company press releases and monthly / quarterly financials, industry and company research reports Assisting in processing amendment / waiver requests, as necessary Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related financial subject area with an outstanding record of academic achievement
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a finance function, preferably in leveraged credit or investment banking
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and research skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software
  • Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture
