About The Position

This position provides billing and accounting support to our Account Receivable team for Tallgrass Water in our Lakewood, CO office and will report to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Accounting/Finance degree, or a bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years administrative experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience with entry-level accounts receivable, and/or accounting.
  • ASC 606 knowledge/application.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of oil & gas experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that include Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist AR team in the monthly billing process for all Water Invoices.
  • Verify trucking tickets for accuracy and make corrections in the ticketing system, scanning and ticket entry, when applicable.
  • Assist with invoicing backup and excel spreadsheets.
  • Meet (scheduled) monthly invoicing deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with colleagues, transporters and customers and obtain additional information to help with ticket audit, invoicing, coding, and reconciliation.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Adapt to constant changes in the work environment and be responsive to customer demands.
  • Contract management.
  • Perform/complete monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Interact, and communicate, with other department personnel to determine root cause of process errors.
  • Identify/implement process and business system improvements.
  • General accounting task opportunities.
  • Deal with a wide variety of people with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
  • Protect Tallgrass's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.
  • Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
