About The Position

The Analyst 1 supports core data processing activities by reviewing, organizing, and validating incoming data in accordance with established procedures. This role involves identifying and resolving discrepancies, performing basic research, and ensuring that data is processed accurately and on time. Analysts contribute to maintaining quality standards while supporting team production goals. This position is well suited for individuals who are detail-oriented and comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment where accuracy and consistency are essential.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent plus one year's relevant experience.
Two years’ experience using Microsoft Office tools or equivalent. Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel or equivalent.
Two years’ experience using the internet for research.
Possess basic math skills required to analyze and edit monthly and quarterly data in accordance with established standards.
Attention to details; recognizes and investigates problems.
Willing to acquire additional technical and PC skills.

Responsibilities

Process monthly and quarterly employment and wage data.
Researches and corresponds with survey respondents on data issues as needed.
Formats and imports data files into approved software applications and databases.
Follows approved data quality procedures for data analysis, editing and coding.
Meets designated data production timing requirements.
Maintains standards for data quality.
Researches and writes correspondence in reply to state employment agency personnel data related questions.
Completes all assigned ancillary tasks.
Provides complete and timely information via notes and email on problem cases and solutions.
Imports files into databases and transmits processed confidential data to remote computer systems using approved data transfer software.
