Instructs new hires in technical training and required customer courses. Assists new hires with Computer Based Training (CBTs) and verifies all coursework is complete and recorded in the learning management system. Supports Apprentice training and development in the classroom and in the hangar.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maintaining aircraft or aircraft components required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with adult learning, course design, and class evaluation process preferred.
- Repairman, Airframe and/or Powerplant certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides initial training to Apprentice Technicians to meet ATS, FAA, and Customer training requirements.
- Utilizes the instruction techniques of lecture, video, computer-based training (CBT), electronic forums, demonstration, and testing to impart the required knowledge to a diverse population as outlined in the training objectives, while being sensitive to individual needs.
- Uses the learning management system to verify course completion.
- Assists with the development of technical course materials.
- Evaluates student performance at specified intervals and provides relevant feedback, reinforcing positive student performance.
- Assists with all processes related to ATS Apprenticeship Program to support ATS workforce development.
- Promotes company and department policies in classroom ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.
