About The Position

MHI RJ Aviation Group (MHIRJ) is the merging of two important heritages: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.   We’re hiring a Academy Trainer to help drive our continued success!    Purpose of the role   The Academy Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining up to date training programs across MHIRJ Service Center Network. Drawing on strong educational experience and computer skills, this role creates engaging curriculum for key business processes and procedures using multimedia tools and delivers instruction in both classroom and hands-on shop environments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years related work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge on instructional skills for Sheet Metal Shop equipment.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, leadership, new hires to successfully resolve any outstanding issues or concerns, strong communication skills.
  • Working knowledge in a variety of computer software programs, (Teams or Virtual Meeting Platforms, PowerPoint, MS Word,) to revise and/or deliver training material and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Empower MX.
  • Knowledge on how to measure performance of various training projects to ensure the students are learning the curriculum.
  • Ability to utilize and design Computer Based Courses on LMS platform.
  • Can interpret Engineering Drawings

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and delivery of curriculum for MHIRJ Academy
  • Safety and Environmental training in areas of expertise using a variety of instructional training aids in the classroom environment. This will include the use of multimedia presentations (video, slides, Power Point), aircraft components and aircraft simulators.
  • Provide safety leadership in a shop environment.
  • Develop process improvements for the department.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of standards to timely delivery and consistency of courses
  • Maintain currency on the pertinent changes in aviation regulations, local and foreign.
  • Address issues related to training aids/devices and tooling used for training delivery.
