About The Position

AttainX, Inc. is in search of an experienced individual to provide industrial hygiene support to support the Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment (ASME) in the Safety and Health Division (SHD) at the U.S Department of Energy (DOE). As an industrial hygienist for DOE, you will serve as a technical expert to advise and perform professional, scientific or technical work concerned with industrial hygiene programs.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in engineering, science or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 6 years of specialized experience in industrial hygiene, in addition to the requisite experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in implementation, management or oversight of industrial hygiene standards and requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and other MS Office tools

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years of experience in professional industrial hygiene (IH) work
• Certified Industrial Hygienist
• Comprehensive and recent understanding of the Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities

Responsibilities

• Evaluate industrial hygiene program documents, plans, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
• Ensure that industrial hygiene program requirements are implemented for each of the prime contractors and facilities across the Hanford Site.
• Support HFO oversight of medical program interface with the prime contractors.
• Perform oversight of contractor IH exposure assessment data provided to medical providers for compliance with requirements and facilitate answers to questions that result from the data.
• Perform oversight of Hanford prime contractor IH program activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Conduct field walk downs to ensure prime contractors are meeting industrial hygiene requirements and procedures.
• Classify and summarize data for preparation and submission of reports as required.
• Interface routinely with management personnel and technical staff regarding industrial hygiene and related issues.
