Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced certifications in project/portfolio management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Prince2). PMP is required.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in construction and capital investment projects.
  • Proven success managing portfolios of factory, industrial, and office facilities.
  • Experience in EPC, construction, or real estate development environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (building codes, environmental, safety).
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO frameworks and governance for capital construction projects.
  • Oversee strategic prioritization and resource allocation across regional portfolios.
  • Monitor project interdependencies, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for KPIs, schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Provide strategic oversight to project managers and construction teams.
  • Escalate critical risks and facilitate cross-project issue resolution.
  • Ensure consistent use of project controls and digital tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project delivery.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
