About The Position

Students hired in these positions tutor children (from Preschool through 9th grade) in reading and/or math. Tutors currently provide in-person and remote/virtual support. Locations include the ISU campus, local schools, after-school programs, public libraries, and community centers. Student employees are eligible to participate in the University’s 403(b) Plan. Requirements

• Applicants MUST be awarded Federal Work Study.
• Ability to provide your own transportation for off-campus sites (this includes public transportation).
• Must be dependable.
• Applicants must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5.
• Experience working with children and/or tutoring is required.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Students in teacher education programs are strongly desired.
• Students with bilingual skills (fluent in Spanish) are preferred.
