Our ambulatory care services are rapidly expanding, including increasing primary care, hospital-based clinics, specialty clinics, and retail/specialty pharmacy. Our leadership team is dedicated to supporting each facility and service type, with managers and supervisors collaborating to drive daily operations and strategic projects. The Ambulatory Pharmacy Clinical Manager oversees a growing ambulatory line of business, collaborating with Parkview leaders to align operations and implement strategic initiatives. This role manages daily operations with the assistance of two supervisors. The Pharmacy Manager advances new ambulatory pharmacy projects, supporting a diverse team of pharmacists, residents, and technicians across multiple service lines such as Primary Care, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Weight Management, and Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology. The manager will drive the development and implementation of new clinical programs, support population health initiatives, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. This position requires strong clinical and operational knowledge, including regulatory and billing expertise in both physician and hospital settings.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE ‐ accredited institution with completion of a PGY ‐ 2 ambulatory care residency program, PGY1/2 HSPAL program, or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Pharmacy licensure, or eligibility, in Indiana and Ohio required.
  • Candidates must have a high level of ambulatory clinical and administrative skills, enthusiasm for patient care, and the interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with health professionals, patients, residents, and students.
  • Candidates must d emonstrate expertise in clinical pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and program development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years healthcare supervision preferred.
  • Leadership experience with population health, chronic disease management, and collaborative practice agreements preferred.
  • Board certification (e.g., BCACP) and advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPH) are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ambulatory clinical pharmacists, residents, and pharmacy technicians.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to advance ambulatory pharmacy services and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand and enhance ambulatory clinical pharmacy programs.
  • Participate in system-wide committees and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee daily operations of ambulatory pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory, billing, and accreditation standards.
  • Implement and monitor clinical protocols, collaborative practice agreements, and medication management workflows.
  • Evaluate and optimize clinical service lines (e.g., endocrinology, pulmonology, weight management, allergy/immunology, geriatrics).
  • Support the development and implementation of centralized models for disease management (e.g., diabetes, statin therapy).
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of new clinical services and care models.
  • Support program expansion, medication access initiatives, and financial assistance workflows.
  • Drive performance improvement activities, leveraging data and analytics to measure outcomes and impact.
  • Oversee privileging, credentialing, and training programs for pharmacy staff, residents, and students.
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor for pharmacy residency projects and professional development.
  • Model and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional engagement.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage with external partners, payors, and community organizations to advance ambulatory pharmacy initiatives.
  • Represent the pharmacy department in advocacy, leadership, and professional organizations.
