About The Position

Come join our team as a full-time Certified Diabetes Educator with BJC Medical Group located in St. Peters, this is a rare opportunity to join a great team! Role Purpose Provides Diabetes and Nutritional educational services and community resources for inpatients and outpatients. Maintains a case load of patients and promotes program development.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing/Nutrition/related
  • <2 years
  • No Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Cert Diabetes Educator

Responsibilities

  • Monitors patients response and modifies plan of care accordingly.
  • Provides accurate documentation as required.
  • Delivers direct patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
  • Develops and implements individual plans of care in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
  • Educates patients and their families on how to manage their condition.
