Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred; or 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory, medical office, or outpatient setting.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge: Medical terminology, EMR systems, coding, insurance billing, scheduling, data entry, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Experience: Interdisciplinary team collaboration and problem-solving within physician practices and across departments to improve quality and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations of assigned physician practice/program, including staff management, provider coordination, scheduling, and workflow optimization to ensure patient access, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Develop and monitor annual budgets, oversee financial performance, and utilize key metrics (e.g., revenue cycle, provider utilization, access benchmarks) to drive operational and revenue outcomes.
  • Revenue Cycle & Compliance: Maximize front-end revenue processes (scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, POS collections) and collaborate with billing teams to ensure accuracy and resolve improvement opportunities.
  • People & Patient Experience: Lead all HR functions including hiring, coaching, and performance management; foster communication and engagement with staff and providers; maintain patient satisfaction scores at or above target through evidence-based practices.
