First Rescue Ambulance in Irwindale is actively hiring for qualified candidates who have at least two years of ambulance medical billing experience. JOB DUTIES: Process claims for BLS and CCT level ambulance transports Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required Verify insurance eligibility for all patient accounts Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Regulations and Billing Guidelines. Basic Knowledge of Commercial, PPO, and HMO Regulations and Billing Guidelines. Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and clients Collection calls and/or correspondence with external clients or patients for payments Ability to assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes Ability to understand EOB to ensure claims are paid according to contractual guidelines Call insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
