About The Position

The Medical Biller is familiar with various medical insurances, patient billing, reimbursements, and collections. Responsible for claims related to behavioral health, medical, and dental clients. Ability to adapt to a fast-growing medical facility, detail-oriented, self-motivated a fast learner. Requirements

Medical billing certification required
5+ years of experience in medical billing is strongly preferred
Medi-Cal billing experience is strongly preferred
Must have excellent communication skills
Strong analytical personality
Computer literate
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Worked with EMR system
Knowledge of checking insurance eligibility and claims through Availity, Aerial, Medi-Cal, etc.
Some coding knowledge

Nice To Haves

Familiar with dental billing, and experience in mental health billing is a plus
5+ years of experience in medical billing is strongly preferred
Medi-Cal billing experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Proficient in billing and insurance verification
Experience with commercial billing and plans
Familiarity working with Office Ally
General knowledge of ICD10, CPT codes, and modifiers for various insurance types and services
Familiarity of HCFA-1500 forms forms
Knowledgeable in credentialing and Medical Group contracting
Proficient in posting payments and adjustments
Familiar with dental billing, and experience in mental health billing is a plus
Understanding of timely filing requirements for different payers
Diligent in ensuring claims are accurately processed
Multitasking abilities
