About The Position

Amazon Web Services Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program with a preference in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Proposed work plan: • Would be teamed up with an experienced developer to co work on features and capabilities critical to business success. Participate in team scrum meetings and planning, and give demos of work completed How the intern work supports team deliverables/ IT strategy: • Will work on high priority features and stories supporting the AWS framework. Requirements

  • Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of network operations principles.
  • Amazon Web Services Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program with a preference in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Degree/ Skills required: Computer Science/Information Systems
  • Object oriented programing experience is a must can probably be any language like (Python, Java, C#, C++ etc)
  • Some Json or Yaml familiarity
  • Basic knowledge of APIs (aka What is an API? What are they used for? etc)

Nice To Haves

  • Python
  • Terraform
  • Git version control concepts (aka commit, merge, push, branches etc)
  • Know how to connect to machines via ssh
  • Know what a terminal is and how to run basic commands
  • Experience using APIs in code
  • Using Windows operating system
  • Basic Knowledge of testing (aka Why do we need to test? Different ways to test?)
  • Knowledge of agile
