About The Position

Shade Eatery at Higgins Beach Inn, Scarborough ME. is seeking an experienced Dishwasher for our 2026 season running May through October. Requirements

Knows where things are in the kitchen and how to use the equipment.
High school diploma or GED
1 to 2 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for full cycle; load, run and unload machine ensuring that all dishes, glassware, flatware and silverware are properly cleaned at proper sanitation temperatures and is ready for service.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans and trays that need to be hand washed.
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
Sort and stack clean and dry dishes.
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Sweep, scrub and mop floors.
Maintain clean dish area.
Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management.
Keep all service and cooking equipment clean and ready for use.
