Job Summary The Alumni Services Program Manager will play a key role in supporting the aftercare needs of all individuals who have attended the program, whether or not they have graduated. This position involves overseeing the Alumni Services Program statewide, ensuring alumni receive ongoing support and resources to help maintain life-long recovery. The Program Manager will collaborate with internal teams, manage alumni engagement initiatives, and coordinate efforts to provide continuous care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a recovery, treatment, aftercare, alumni services, or related human services environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Knowledge of recovery principles, aftercare support, relapse prevention, and continuum of care practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at varying stages of recovery, including those who did not complete a treatment program.
  • Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards within a treatment or recovery support setting.
  • Familiarity with applicable Minnesota statutes and licensing requirements relevant to recovery services, including Board and Lodging expectations, or ability to obtain such knowledge upon hire.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, databases, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
  • Comfort and compassion in working with individuals facing life-controlling challenges, such as mental health issues and addiction.

  • Must pass a DHS background study as required under MN Statutes, Chapter 245C and 245G.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the statewide Alumni Services Program, ensuring consistent systems, resources, and Christ-centered ministry alignment across all centers, while maintaining compliance with applicable Minnesota statutes related to Board & Lodging.
  • Develop and support aftercare initiatives by providing ongoing alumni support, relapse prevention resources, community connections, and continuum of care check-ins.
  • Build and manage a statewide alumni volunteer network, equipping alumni to serve as speakers, peer support, mentors, group leaders, and event volunteers within centers and local communities.
  • Supervise and develop staff, interns, and volunteers by providing training, coaching, and accountability to ensure effective and consistent service delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Admissions, Outreach, and program teams to provide timely alumni support, re-entry coordination, and ministry connection as needed.
  • Manage Alumni Services operations and outcomes, including data tracking, reporting, alumni communications, content contributions, and the planning of alumni events and gatherings.
  • Ensure alumni services, volunteer engagement, and aftercare activities operate within professional, ethical, and program boundaries, in alignment with organizational policies and applicable Minnesota statutes and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and protect the confidentiality of alumni information in accordance with organizational policies and applicable privacy requirements.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to alumni risk factors, including relapse concerns, and coordinate timely referrals or escalations to appropriate internal teams or external resources as needed.
  • Monitor alumni engagement trends and outcomes to inform program improvements and support data-informed decision-making.
