Do you enjoy working with others, planning and implementing events and other strategic projects? If so, we invite you to join our team as our Alumni Relations Manager! The University of Alaska Southeast, located in Juneau, AK, is seeking a highly energetic, strong communicator, entrepreneurial, and strategic thinker to join the newly named Office of Advancement. This position, in close coordination with the Executive Director of Advancement, serves as an alumni engagement officer for the University of Alaska Southeast Office of Advancement. In this role, you will interact with internal development and university colleagues in addition to the UA Foundation to activate an already interested alumni demographic in the community while building a culture of philanthropy on our three campuses. You will strive to build and maintain relationships with UAS alumni, friends, donors, and students. The Alumni Relations Manager will attend educational training two times per year for nationally recognized institutions or organizations that further alumni engagement endeavors. Under the guidance of Chancellor Aparna Palmer, the University of Alaska Southeast is dedicated to creating a destination workplace and a world class university. As the Alumni Relations Manager, your hands-on experience in higher education will prepare you to understand the university's mission, environment, and operating requirements. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in alumni engagement plus working knowledge of fundraising databases (ie Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, etc.). To thrive in this position, you will bring your expert knowledge of the principles and practice of alumni engagement for higher education. The engagement officer plays an important role in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and requires the ability to think strategically, multi-task, and demonstrate professionalism at all times. The Alumni Relations Manager position will include some driving duties; a clean driver's record and the ability to obtain an Alaska State driver's license are required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Clean driver's record and the ability to obtain an Alaska State driver's license are required.
