About The Position

The Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for the support of planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni of the Bon Secours Richmond Higher Education Institutions (RHEIs). The Coordinator serves as an ambassador, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of the RHEIs. Reporting to the Director of Student and Alumni Affairs, the Coordinator facilitates the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of alumni and works to promote strong relationships between the alumni and their institution.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with alumni that are mutually beneficial and connect alumni to initiatives that foster their increased engagement with their institution.
  • Coordinate and implement initiatives that engage alumni in support of the goals of their institution.
  • Maintain accurate and complete alumni records database records in collaboration with key departmental stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies that regularly capture contact, biographical, and career information for alumni including through surveys, events, online forms, and other formats as needed.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement strategic multi-platform, and multi-modal communications that keep alumni informed and engaged with their institution.
  • Assist alumni volunteer leaders in the development and implementation of alumni-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate the engagement of alumni in institutional initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Office of Admissions, Career Services, the academic programs, and the Foundation.
  • Plan and support events and meetings with alumni stakeholders to include reserving space, preparing materials, developing and presenting presentations and reports, and taking and maintaining minutes.
  • Collaboratively plan and implement programming that support student and alumni connection and enhance the early engagement of recent graduates.
  • Provide back up and support for the Student Services Coordinator – Campus Involvement and Student Services Coordinator - Student Engagement as needed.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
