About The Position

The Alumni Relations Officer supports the development and implementation of alumni engagement strategies that foster lifelong connections between the University of Wyoming and its alumni communities. This position manages a portfolio of alumni networks and volunteer leaders and executes a year-round engagement strategy that involves the coordination of engagement activities, events, communications, and initiatives that strengthen relationships and advance the mission of the University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA). This position reports to the Senior Alumni Relations Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and support of a comprehensive engagement strategy for a portfolio of assigned local, regional, and affinity networks in addition to other engagement activities as assigned.
  • Manage a portfolio of networks and volunteer leaders for existing networks through strategic events, outreach, and other network engagement activities.
  • Support the identification, cultivation, and engagement of volunteer leaders to positively impact the year-round engagement strategy by assisting with the planning, promoting, and execution of network activities and other engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate event logistics, communications, and outreach efforts with internal and external partners to ensure consistent and high-quality alumni experiences across all networks.
  • Collaborate with UWAA teams and campus partners to support alignment with institutional priorities and brand standards.
  • Maintain alumni records, track engagement outcomes, and assist with reporting using the CRM and other internal databases and software as needed.
  • Support large scale alumni programs and signature events, including Homecoming and other local or regional network activities.
  • Assist with budget tracking, planning, and reporting for assigned programs and events.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to enhance alumni engagement opportunities and strengthen volunteer participation.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement.
  • Attend and participate in training and professional development activities.
