About The Position

Skillforce is hiring experienced toolmakers with a strong background in aluminum high pressure die casting at a plant located outside of Milwaukee, WI. This position focuses on keeping production dies running at peak performance through repair, revision, and continuous improvement. Shift Options / Schedule:  6-7 days per week / 50+ hours per week 1st Shift:  7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM   Travel & Per Diem: Ability to travel home every two weeks or as needed Per diem of $178 for all seven days while traveling ($1,246 weekly) When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.70 per mile If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel   Key Responsibilities: Rework and repair aluminum die casting tools using prints, models, and engineering direction Machine components using CNC equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, and other shop tools Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and production delays Troubleshoot worn or damaged tooling and make necessary corrections Support engineering with tooling updates that improve cycle time and casting quality Participate in die trials and validation runs Inspect tooling to confirm dimensional accuracy and performance standards Maintain documentation on repairs and modifications Provide shop floor support when die performance issues arise   Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on toolmaking experience in aluminum HPDC Strong understanding of die casting tooling, materials, and machining practices Ability to independently program in Siemens NX Skilled with CNC machines and manual machining equipment Comfortable reading complex prints and models Detail oriented with solid troubleshooting ability

  • Strong understanding of die casting tooling, materials, and machining practices
  • Ability to independently program in Siemens NX
  • Skilled with CNC machines and manual machining equipment
  • Comfortable reading complex prints and models
  • Detail oriented with solid troubleshooting ability

Responsibilities
