About The Position

As an Alternate Site Manager (Electrical Engineer), you will oversee and support the delivery of comprehensive electrical engineering services in a deployed environment. Responsibilities include providing full electrical design support, conducting site inspections, sizing and selecting electrical equipment, designing power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding and bonding, and infrastructure. You will collaborate with technicians, engineers, drafters, and surveyors to coordinate project activities, maintain quality standards, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve timely project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience preparing electrical designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Jordan.
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
  • Ability to endure long work hours and exposure to adverse weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Strong technical background in electrical systems design and construction support.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality control.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client interaction and representation.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams while managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Valid U.S. Passport (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical project development, including technical writing, selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of a construction manager.
  • Assists the Site Manager with Quality, Safety, personnel scheduling, and performance management.
  • Attends meetings as required and prepares project reports, CDRLs, and specifications in accordance with the PWS.
  • Verifies accuracy and performs engineering analysis, including electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and equipment sizing.
  • Solves complex electrical design and engineering issues across multiple projects.
  • Provides determination of electrical loads, power distribution design, panel schedules, conduit and cable routing, lighting design, grounding and bonding, and fire alarm systems.
  • Monitors and reports on assigned projects, reviewing specifications, schedules, and contractor deliverables.
  • Verifies construction for design compliance and assists in resolving differences between U.S. and Host Nation electrical and building codes.
  • Ensures all work areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all contractor- and government-furnished property.
  • Completes required training in compliance with OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) standards.
  • Ensures precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
  • Efficiently utilizes computers and software including Microsoft Office, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) programs such as AutoCAD, project tracking tools (Microsoft Project), GIS platforms, and electrical engineering calculation software to support project execution.
