The Ohio State University’s Innovation and Commercialization team within the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) utilizes knowledge and expertise to manage ongoing partnerships with outside entities, equity compliance, and a portfolio of startups under the direction, of the Associate Vice President of Health Science Innovation and Technology. The Alliance Lead will play a critical role in managing cross-functional projects spanning new business development transactions to existing strategic alliance partnerships at The Ohio State University, contributing to the university's broader innovation ecosystem under the direction of the Associate Director, Intellectual Property & Award Management and in partnership with Director of Licensing and Business Development. This role will be responsible for managing compliance and relationships of executed agreements between Ohio State and outside entities, equity received from licensing transactions and entrepreneurship activities (“Innovation Equity”); independently performing ongoing monitoring and engagement with the university’s portfolio companies external to the university and working closely with Ohio State faculty; collaborating with other teams within ERIK, including technology licensing, compliance, Sponsored Project Officers, and finance; and participating in onboarding new team members, including training, mentoring, and providing guidance as needed.
