Our team of experienced ENT specialists and healthcare professionals work collaboratively to offer comprehensive and compassionate care. The Allergy Technician assists physicians and other medical personnel in providing allergy testing, immunotherapy treatments, and patient education. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent clinical skills, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) (preferred)
  • Experience in ENT or allergy/immunology setting (strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of allergy testing procedures and extract mixing (a plus)
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for allergy testing procedures (skin prick and intradermal)
  • Administer allergy tests and document reactions accurately
  • Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots)
  • Mix allergen extracts in a sterile and accurate manner
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and exam rooms
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic protocols
  • Call insurance to get eligibility and benefits
  • Submit authorizations
  • Provides allergy ded/oop information to the patient
