About The Position

The Allen Center Security Team Member is responsible for maintaining the security, order, and safety of the Allen Center. This team member will walk the building one time each day to make sure that the building is secure and no facilities issues are occurring. They will report the outcome of their walk each day to the Director of the University Centers. This position reports to the Director of the University Centers and takes direction from the Operations Manager of the University Centers.

Requirements

• Applicants must be available to work 30 minutes per day and attend 1:1 meetings as necessary, including weekends.
• They must be capable of working under limited supervision during shifts.
• Students applying for this position must pass a Criminal Background Check initiated by the University Centers.
• Successful applicants must complete Adult CPR, AED, and First AID certification courses within 8 weeks of beginning employment .
• Certification sessions will be provided by the University Centers.
• These certifications must be kept up to date throughout employment with the University Centers .
• Where applicable, Concussion Protocol Training will also be provided by the University Centers and must be completed within the same timeframe.
• The Allen Center Security Team Member must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.

• Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.
