This internship provides hands‑on experience in the research, development, and prototyping of computer vision and machine learning algorithms for semiconductor applications. The intern will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to algorithm development efforts supporting defect detection, classification, metrology, and image analysis.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework or project experience in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, or deep learning
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++
  • Familiarity with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the evaluation and prototyping of classical and ML/DL‑based computer vision algorithms
  • Support feasibility studies through data analysis, literature review, and experimentation
  • Develop proof‑of‑concept implementations to address real customer use cases
  • Collaborate with software, systems, and applications teams to help integrate and test algorithm solutions
  • Participate in performance analysis and optimization of algorithms for efficiency and scalability
