Alarm & Security Monitoring Fort Sill, Oklahoma Mission Training Complex (MTC) is an access-controlled training facility, that requires an Alarm Monitor to operate and monitor a security camera system, multiple landlines, and a badge access system. The alarm monitor facilitates training by controlling access to the facility and grounds, coordinating appropriate responses to incidents, and obtains additional information and briefs to appropriate personnel on any pertinent information received. HOW THE ALARM AND SECURITY MONITOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Operates electronic security system equipment to monitor MTC security and safety posture. Operates telephone console to receive incoming calls for assistance and coordinates with MTC staff to enable Soldiers and other MTC customers to navigate the MTC to achieve the Soldier or customer's objectives. Follows established guidelines, and scans status charts and computer screens to determine security and safety posture of the MTC. Monitors alarm system signals that indicate location of fire or other emergencies and types commands on a computer keyboard to update files and maintain visitor logs. May provide pre-arrival instructions to emergency personnel and activates alarm system to notify fire stations. Records the security status on SF Form 702, Security Container Check Sheet, at the close of each duty and/or business day to ensure that any area where classified information is used or stored is secure. Verifies security of all vaults, secure rooms, and containers used for storing classified material. Conducts end of day security checks.
