Requirements

Current Alaska State Armed Security Guard License
Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting
Availability to workday shifts, swing shifts, graveyard shifts and weekends
Reliable transportation
Honesty and Integrity
Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
High School Diploma or Equivalent
5+ years as an Armed Officer or Law Enforcement Officer
Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment
Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)

EMT Background a huge plus

Responsibilities

Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
Conduct regular patrols
Monitor activities
Surveillance
Access Control
Safety escorts
Using provided communication devices
Represent SSNW’s brand
Properly wear the issued uniform
Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
Work with local law enforcement and emergency services.
Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
