Job Description As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • 20+ Years of Age
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting the appropriate parties and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas for unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations through established reporting channels.
  • Complete required logs and reports, support screening or queue-management areas as assigned, and assist Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives with security-related operations.
